After organizing a special Christmas Eve race in Daytona, drivers Junior and Michael are in for a holiday treat when a strange car pulls up on the track. It's covered in blinking lights and tinsel and smells of green pine, and the driver is Santy Claus, who is ready to race. Racecar Driver's Night Before Christmas is a holiday story unlike any other as Santy Claus competes for the gold in the Jingle Bell Jammer, outracing the best and leaving presents of pistons and brakes behind for the racecar drivers who have been good all year.

Racecar fans are thrilled this holiday season because drivers Junior and Michael have organized a Christmas Eve race. All the cars are lined up on the racecar track when a mysterious new driver pulls up with blinking lights and ready to race.
It's Santy Claus, and he's entered the race with a racecar decked in tinsel and smelling of pine. Dressed in a bright red, fireproof suit and wearing a helmet decorated with Christmas candies, he is ready to win this competition and bring Christmas cheer to everyone at the race.
Filled with racecar humor and more than forty laps of excitement, this Christmas story features Santy Claus and his pit crew as they compete in the race and leave behind treats of engines, pistons, and brakes for all the good racing boys and girls. It's a magical holiday treat in the spirit of the season for children of all ages.
Pelican's Night Before Christmas Series began with James Rice's now-classic Cajun Night Before Christmas, and it continues every year with new adventures of Santa Claus as he entertains readers, young and old, while celebrating the different Christmas traditions across the world.
