This book is principally about what is today called in New Age circles "Prosperity Consciousness". Holmes discusses how to focus one's thoughts to create monetary wealth, as well as increase one's personal charisma to garner circles of friends. Ernest Shurtleff Holmes (1887-1960) was the founder of a movement known as Religious Science, also known as "Science of Mind," a part of the New Thought movement. He is well known as the author of "The Science of Mind" and numerous other metaphysical books, and as the founder of Science of Mind magazine, in continuous publication since 1927.
