Ian Thorpe is one of the greatest swimmers of all time. He has won five Olympic gold medals and 11 World Championship golds, the second-highest number of any swimmer; was the first person to have been named Swimming World Swimmer of the Year four times; and the IAAF awarded him the 2001 American International Athlete Trophy as The World's Most Outstanding Athlete. He serves as an ambassador for Armani, has appeared on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, and is a philanthropist, having established Ian Thorpe’s Fountain for Youth.
