The Horizon suite is VMWare's end user solution suite. VMware Horizon Workspace allows administrators to virtualize operations systems, applications, and user data, and also delivers modern desktops to end users. VMware Horizon Workspace is a new type of solution that is commonly referred to as a "Workspace Aggregator”� or “Universal Services Broker”�. It delivers a solution that provides end-users with a single point of access to their corporate data, applications, and other IT-resources as well as providing IT administrators with a single point of administration and management.

This guide will show you how to deliver a complete user environment based on their entitlement, their location, and the end point device they are connecting with. It will also show you how, from an IT administrator's perspective, everything can be managed from a single console.

Peter von Oven is an experienced technical consultant and has spent the last 20 years of his IT career working with customers and partners in designing technology solutions aimed at delivering true business value. During his career, Peter has been involved in numerous large scale enterprise projects and deployments, presented at key IT events, and has worked in senior pre sales roles for some of the giants of IT. For the last 8 years Peter has focused his skills and experience within the desktop virtualization market, and today he leads the End User Computing SE team at VMware in UK&I, tasked with delivering the next generation of end user computing and workforce mobility solutions. He recently published his first book with Packt, Horizon Mirage Essentials (ISBN: 9781782172352). Peter lives in the UK with his wife and two young daughters.
Peter Björk

Peter Björk has many years of VMware Horizon Workspace and ThinApp experience. He started out working at Thinstall, and continued after VMware acquired the product in 2008 renaming it ThinApp. Peter supports Horizon Workspace and ThinApp throughout Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. Peter is the author of the book VMware ThinApp 4.7 Essentials (ISBN: 1849686289). Peter lives in Sweden with his wife and two kids, a boy and a girl.
Joel Lindberg

Joel Lindberg works a Specialist Systems Engineer and an End User Computing Specialist at VMware. Joel has 20 years of experience working in IT, and previously worked at HP, Monster, and Cap Gemini.
