Authentic, fast-moving and with a wry ear for dialogue, it turned out to be a hit... This excellent second outing for Connell sees him answering a plea from his troubled former lover... So begins an investigation that takes him to Afghanistan, but also sends him to the ugly depths of the Essex underworld.
