By using local sources, this book documents the rapidly changing political situation in Kerry, how support for the conflict diminished after 1916, and how this change affected the returning soldiers.

Alan Drumm is from Tralee, Co. Kerry and is currently pursuing a PhD in History in University College Cork. He has previously worked as an archaeologist in the south-east and a researcher for the Cork and Kerry place names project.
