Professor Richard Holmes, is author of The Napoleonic Wars Experience also in the Carlton "Experience" range, as well as Tommy: The British Solider on the Western Front, Wellington: The Iron Duke and Red Coat. Richard is General Editor of the Oxford Companion to Military History and has presented several documentary series for the BBC.
