A delightful rhyming story about a nosy little girl and her misadventures at the zoo
Tabitha Posy is a pest to everyong in the town of Hamilton Shady. She can’t help but be curious, and sticks her nose in other people’s business—much to her neighbors' chagrin. One day, on a school trip to the zoo, Tabitha’s nosiness gets her into a bit of trouble with one of the zoo’s less friendly animals!

Tabitha was a nosey child, always asking questions and giving no-one any peace. A trip to the zoo however may change that a little bit but who knows? Told in captivating rhyme the tale bounces along in fast action keeping the reader engaged with humour throughout. The illustrations are very colourful, full of detail and beautifully cartoon in style. This one is bound to be a hit with the early readers, both girls and boys. Let's not discount the read and share value though as this will delight the reader each time it's read as much as the first.Julia Eccleshare's comment: Curiosity can be a good or a bad thing! Tabitha Posy, who can t stop asking Why? And What For? drives the neighbours mad. When Tabitha Posy is taken on a school trip to the zoo, her nosiness becomes distinctly dangerous. She tugs a feather from an owl which isn t too risky but then wonders What a tiger has for dinner? Now Tabitha Posy is in serious danger! How Tabitha Posy escapes from such a dangerous situation is told in a bubbly rhyming text which matches the story well. Julie Fulton is also the author of another rhyming picture book called Mrs MacCready is ever so Greedy. --http://ourbookreviewsonline.blogspot.co.uk
Tabitha Posy Was Ever So Nosy is the second book in the Ever So series from author Julie Fulton. It s full of fun and bound to give your little readers a good giggle. Tabitha Posy is a very nosy girl, prone to pestering, provoking and getting into scrapes. Of course, coming from the town of Hamilton Shady, she s bound to be less than perfect! It s on a school trip to the zoo that Tabitha Posy meets her match in the form of a slithery snake and young children will really enjoy seeing her get her come-uppance. We all love a cautionary tale and this story fits the bill very well. Having said that, it s good to ask questions, right?! Julie Fulton s catchy sing-song style is sure to be a big hit with young children, who will enjoy predicting the rhymes. The colourful, eye-catching illustrations cover the whole page, and there s a world of detail in there. Look out for the little background moments that make the story even funnier. We d recommend sharing this story with 2-5 year olds. --http://www.bookhappy.co.uk
We were given this and as soon as she laid eyes on it my just three year old wanted it read to her. We read it, and read it again and have now read it quite a few times since. As it is written in rhyme and I find those stories very catchy I am nearly at the point where I can recite it all! But the point is that she loves it! This is a picture book with humour and plenty to talk about on every page. Tabitha Posy is so nosey that the neighbours hide from her, even leaving shoes on the steps like Cinderella in their efforts to get away. She is never where she is meant to be, or paying attention to what she should be; she lies on the classroom floor looking at a spider whilst her teacher is talking. She doesn t take any notice of instructions, preferring to find out for herself; climbing into the tiger enclosure at the zoo to see if the tiger has been fed, and (as my daughter will tell you) with the big bad wolf watching (greedily!). Her desire to know leads her into big trouble! Much of these things are told as much through the pictures as through the text and it is definitely the eye-catching, colourful and funny illustrations that have grabbed my daughter s attention and her comments. As I mentioned the story is told in rhyme and is easy to read. Again there is humour and fun for adults and children. Tabitha does get eaten by the tiger (very funny picture) and is in his tummy until she tickles him with a feather and he doesn t like it so he spits her out. She then has to have a shower from an elephant to clean her up! Brilliant! I loved the imagination in this. In the end there is a moral to the story as Tabitha concedes --http://www.bigbooklittlebook.com
The first book we read was called Tabitha Posy was ever so nosey by Julie Fulton, illustrated by Jona Jung. This is the second book in the Ever So Series, which teaches children about bad habits. My initial thoughts were how bright and colourful the book is. The illustrations are really good and there is a lot to look at on every page. The book is in a brilliant sing-along rhyme and is easy to read out loud. The basic story is about a little girl who is very nosey. This eventually gets her in trouble and teaches her a valuable lesson. My son found the book really funny and laughed in many places. As soon as we finished he wanted it read again! In my opinion it is a brilliant book. There is nothing too scary involved and I would recommend this book for ages 3-7 as the colours, illustrations and the moral of the story make it suitable for a variety of ages. --http://www.monstermummies.co.uk/

In the end there is a moral to the story as Tabitha concedes she should use books to find out some things and not first hand experience. You could make up your own morals too, if you wished to discuss with your child listening and doing what they are told! The humour in this means the moral side is not overly prominent. Verdict: This book has gone down a treat in our house, I ll be keeping an eye out for any more in this series. --http://www.bigbooklittlebook.com
