Now everyone knows my view of Wainwright Bagging. Trainspotting with altitude. Rather a waste of 214 summits if you're going to dash from one to the other, ticking them off as fast as possible and rarely raising your eyes from your boot ends.

So why, I hear you grumble, has he agreed to say nice things on the back of Chris Stanbury's book?
