Bosman (1905-1951) was arguably South Africa's foremost short story teller; his most famous stories concern the goings on of a group of credulous farmers in the Marico district of the Western Transvaal. (close to Botswana border) around the time of the Second Boer War (1899-1902). In this collection there are also stories of the four year jail sentence Bosman served in the 1920s. Size: 260x200mm.
