Gaku Homma founded Nippon Kan Cultural Center, whose new 10,000 sq.ft. facility in Denver houses the largest traditional Aikido dojo in the Rocky Mountain region. He is the author ofAikido For Life, The Folk Art of Japanese Country Cooking, Children and the Martial Arts: An Aikido Point of View, andAikido Sketch Diary: Dojo 365 Days. He trained under Morihei Ueshiba, the founder of Aikido, as well as other high-ranking instructors.
