Gardner, who grew up a “city cowgirl” in Dallas, Tyler and Houston and now lives in Palestine, earned a journalism degree at Texas A&M University, then graduated with honors from Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts after apprenticing in Sorrento, Italy. Food editor of the Tyler Morning Telegraph for four years. When she’s not looking after two horses, three Longhorn on 25 acres of Piney Woods, she does a weekly cooking show on Tyler’s CBS affiliate TV station.
