Joshua Mercott was born Joshua Bijesh A. N. on the 27th of August, 1987. The eldest of four children he resides in Chennai, a city in South India. He always felt himself drawn to all things English, be it film, music, entertainment and most importantly books. His early years saw him reading his way through young-adult Fantasy fiction and growing more diverse in his tastes. Ever the storyteller, his family and friends will attest to how he always had a way of twisting a situation and making it seem like a tale. He comes from a film-family, meaning Dad (Anand Babu) made a big name for himself in the Tamil Movie industry as a dancer whose moves couldn't be matched. Grand-dad (Nagesh C. K.) too was a legend who, with colleagues like MGR and Shivagi, took the Tamil movie biz to new heights. Joshua doesn't know what made him open that long un-ruled notebook and start writing. His very first unrecognized and, as he insists, badly written work was 'The Goddess Comes' which one bad decision after the next led to him getting it self-published. Joshua has always believed he was found worthy to be given the gift of storytelling. There is truth in a book that practically writes itself. What he wants more than anything is tell everyone he can, that he knows, sincerely, that human beings are not alone.
