Little Tiger is a small, strong, and stripy cub. He lives with his mother and sisters in a forest in India. Through this gentle, simple, and lovingly illustrated board book, children can enter a young tiger’s world and watch him grow. As a little cub, he plays happily with his sisters, tumbling and pouncing in the grass, and he learns about the sights, sounds, and smells of his jungle home. Gradually, he learns how to hunt for himself, and begins to explore the nearby hills and streams, until he’s ready to leave his family and find his own home. Rich, dramatic illustrations and a simple text teach young children about a rapidly disappearing species.
Tiger's Story, from which this board-book edition was adapted, was nominated for the Kate Greenaway Medal in 2008.
