Collins, EdD, is a lecturer in the Department of Teaching and Learning, Peabody College, Vanderbilt University. Her articles include “Sagacious, Sophisticated, and Sedulous: The Importance of Discussing 50-Cent Words with Young Children” (Young Children, 2012).
