Stonebridge Publications is pleased to announce the release of a book set to revolutionize the personal relationship of Christians with their God. Adam Without Eden by Samuel C. Walker offers hope and encouragement for Christians who are longing to reconnect with the God of the Bible.
Since being banned from the Garden, mankind has struggled to reconnect with a God bigger than our brokenness, to regain the pure fellowship God intended from the beginning. Often, we find it hard to reconcile the everyday realities of our current fallen state with a belief that God is good. In Adam Without Eden, we are reminded of the wonderful truth that it is God who is pursuing us in our exile. We
aren’t alone on this side of the closed gates of Eden.
“Do not read this book if you are satisfied with cohabitating with Jesus,” Steve Saint, Author of End of the Spear, said in the foreword of the book. “But if you want to see the Jesus who chose slow-to-learn disciples like us, if you yearn to be a passionate newlywed, then I heartily recommend that you start to read this book. Then digest and read on. Examine who Sam reveals Jesus to be against what our
Bible reveals. Go slowly. Most romances spring to life with surprising speed but grow deeply passionate over time and through trials.”
Walker began journaling over a decade ago. “I wanted not simply to record a list of life-events, but rather, through writing, to grapple with my emotions as a spiritual exercise,” Walker said. “I also began to re-read my collection of formative books, hoping to re-ignite some of the passion and joy that earlier had defined me. Not surprisingly, I discovered I had changed, I had matured. I could again be joyful, I could be passionate, but within a deeper, a richer sense amidst both loss and contentment. Thus was born my book Adam Without Eden – a memoir, a meditation on finding treasure where once there was only pain.”
The book is available in print and ebook form, available on Kindle and Nook.
