That place where neither arrogance nor vacuousness destroy our ability to act as knowledgeable, self-confident agents, calmly going about our tasks with awareness and resilience, and listening carefully to contrary views. Out of all the madness that surrounds us, the future of humanity hinges on nothing less than shaping the raw material of consciousness into modern human beings who live beyond the fading “economic man” driven by self-interest, money and power.
