The play takes place in Denmark, and deals with the accidents after the murder of King Hamlet (father of Prince Hamlet), at the hands of his brother Claudius. The king's ghost asks his son to avenge his murderer. The work runs vividly around the madness (both real and feigned), and the transformation of deep pain into excessive anger. In addition to exploring issues such as betrayal, revenge, incest and moral corruption. The work begins a cold night in Elsinor, the royal castle of Denmark. A sentinel named Francisco is relieved by another man named Bernardo. When the first one leaves, another sentinel named Marcelo comes in with Horacio. Laertes warns Ophelia that she must end her relationship with Hamlet since he is the prince and is not the master of his wishes because they may affect the State. Polonius forbids him to see him again, "From now on forever: I do not want, speaking in clear terms, to waste a single moment of conversation or conversation with Prince Hamlet." Ofelia promises to obey and stop seeing Hamlet.
