L'autore
Ann Brashares a grandi dans le Maryland aux États-Unis, avec ses trois frères. Après des études de philosophie, elle travaille dans une maison d'édition à New York. Le métier d'éditrice lui plaît tellement qu'elle ne le quitte plus. Très proche des auteurs, elle acquiert une solide expérience de l'écriture. En 2001, elle décide à son tour de s'y consacrer. C'est ainsi qu'est né « Quatre filles et un jean », son premier roman. Ann Brashares est âgée d'une trentaine d'années et vit à Brooklyn, New York, avec son mari et ses trois jeunes fils.
