Beklemmend und spannend bis zur letzen Seite.
Mit der Archäologin Louise Cantor führt Mankell durch Abgründe, die endlos scheinen. Sie sind endlos; wenn man meint, es könne nicht noch höllischer werden, wird es genau das. Also: nicht mit Sonnencreme sparen.
Mit Louise steht der Leser vor einem Szenario das erschüttert, aufwühlt und ein richtig ungutes Gefühl zurücklässt. Mankell wollte unser soziales Gewissen aufrütteln und das ist ihm mit diesem Roman gelungen.
