L'autore
Eleanor Catton wurde 1985 in Kanada geboren und wuchs in Christchurch, Neuseeland, auf. Sie studierte Englisch an der University of Canterbury und Kreatives Schreiben an der Victoria University of Wellington. 2008 nahm sie am Iowa Writers’ Workshop teil. Bereits für ihren Debütroman "Anatomie des Erwachens" erhielt sie zahlreiche Auszeichnungen. Für ihren gut 1000 Seiten starken zweiten Roman "Die Gestirne" wurde sie 2013 als jüngste Autorin aller Zeiten mit dem renommierten Booker-Preis ausgezeichnet. Eleanor Catton lebt in Auckland und unterrichtet Kreatives Schreiben am Manukau Institute of Technology.
