L'autore:
Gerhard Staguhn, 1952 in Bayern geboren, lebt als freier Autor und Wissenschaftsjournalist in Berlin. Für Hanser schrieb er bereits zahlreiche Jugendsachbücher zu naturwissenschaftlichen Themen, darunter Die Rätsel des Universums (1998), das für den Deutschen Jugendliteraturpreis nominiert wurde. Daneben erschienen Bücher zu Religion, Geschichte und Gesellschaft, zuletzt Warum die Menschen keinen Frieden halten - Eine Geschichte des Krieges (2006) und Wenn Gott gut is, warum gibt es dann das Böse in der Welt im selben Jahr. 2008 erschien bei Hanser Sonne Wind und Regen - Eine Wetterkunde in Zeiten des Klimawandels, das von der Deutschen Akademie für Kinder- und Jugendliteratur ausgezeichnet wurde.
