Gabriele Eckart, geboren 1954 in Falkenstein/Vogtland. 1976 Staatsexamen in Philosophie an der Humboldt-Universität Berlin. 1980/81 Kulturarbeit im VEB Havelobst Werder, 1987 Auswanderung in die USA. Dort Promotion und Dozententätigkeit.
