Fragestellungen der Produktionswirtschaft und der Logistik sind oftmals aufs engste miteinander verzahnt. Insofern ist das vorliegende Werk zur Logistik als eine Art "Fortsetzung" der Anfang 2000 erschienen "Produktionswirtschaft" zu verstehen. Diesmal konnten 30 Autoren von neun deutschen Universitäten, einer australischen Universität, zwei Fachhochschulen und aus der Praxis gewonnen werden, um im 39 Fallstudien die unterschiedlichsten Problemfelder der Logistik zu beleuchten. Der bisweilen "trockene Stoff" wird durch Illustrationen des Künstlers Peter-Michael Glöckner aufgelockert.

L'autore:
Burchert, Heiko: Prof. Dr. rer. pol., Dipl.-Ing.-Ök., geboren 1964 in Halle/Saale. Studium der Betriebswirtschaftslehre (Diplom 1988) an der Friedrich-Schiller-Universität Jena. Danach als Assistent des Fachdirektors für Leitung, Planung und Organisation der Forschung und Entwicklung im Forschungszentrum des Kombinates VEB Carl Zeiss JENA beschäftigt. In der Zeit von 1990 bis 1995 Wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter an der Wirtschaftswissenschaftlichen Fakultät der Friedrich-Schiller-Universität Jena. Promotion 1995. Wissenschaftlicher Assistent von MANFRED JÜRGEN MATSCHKE am Lehrstuhl für Allgemeine Betriebswirtschaftslehre und Betriebliche Finanzwirtschaft, insbesondere Unternehmensbewertung, Ernst-Moritz-Arndt-Universität Greifswald. Seit Juni 1997 Schriftleiter der Zeitschrift "Betriebswirtschaftliche Forschung und Praxis" und seit 1999 neben THOMAS HERING Mitherausgeber der Reihe "Studien- und Übungsbücher der Wirtschafts- und Sozialwissenschaften" im Verlag R. Oldenbourg, München und Wien. Seit 2001 Professor für betriebswirtschaftliche und rechtliche Grundlagen des Gesundheitswesens am Fachbereich Pflege und Gesundheit der FH Bielefeld. Arbeits- und Forschungsgebiete: Gesundheitsökonomie (insb. Ökonomie der Telemedizin, Rehabilitation und Pflege), Betriebswirtschaftslehre sowie Arbeits-, Sozial-und Strafrecht.
