L'autore:
Paul Auster wurde 1947 in Newark, New Jersey, geboren. Er studierte Anglistik und vergleichende Literaturwissenschaften an der Columbia University und verbrachte einige Jahre in Frankreich. Heute lebt er in Brooklyn. Er ist verheiratet und hat zwei Kinder. Sein umfangreiches, vielfach preisgekröntes Werk umfasst neben 16 Romanen auch Essays und Lyrik.
