L'autore:
Walter Assenmacher studierte Volkswirtschaftslehre an den Universitäten München und Heidelberg. Nach Tätigkeiten als wissenschaftlicher Assistent an den Universitäten Dortmund (hier Mitglied des Gründungsgremiums der Abteilung Statistik) und Essen sowie als Akademischer Oberrat für Ökonometrie und Volkswirtschaftslehre (Universität Essen) erfolgte 1992 der Ruf auf den Lehrstuhl für Ökonometrie an der Europa-Universität Frankfurt/Oder. Seit 1993 ist er Professor für Statistik und Ökonometrie an der Universität Essen.
