Es wurde bewußt auf ein vorgegebenes Konferenzthema verzichtet, so dass ein Tagungband entstanden ist, der solch diverse Bereiche wie Sprachplanung und Typologie abdeckt. / From May 22-24, 2006 the University of Bremen hosted a conference that brought together linguists from nine countries who have all been cooperating with the Linguistics programm of university Bremen and its director, Thomas Stolz. A deliberate choice was made not to restrict the possible topics by choosing a theme. So all authors have presented the results of current and competent research on their respective specializations, which is why we wanted to make the papers available to the general public.
