Maurice Tuchman was Senior Curator of Twentieth Century Art at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art. In his thirty years at the Museum he organized many major exhibitions, including "New York School", "Art and Technology", "The Spiritual in Art: Abstract Painting 1890-1985" and "Parallel Visions: Modern Art and Outsider Art". He has curated exhibitions of Chaim Soutine, whose art he has studied since his graduate work at Columbia University. Maurice Tuchman était le conservateur principal du département Art du XXe siècle au County Museum of Art de Los Angeles. Durant ses trente ans d'activité au musée, il a organisé de nombreuses expositions importantes dont " New York School ", " Art and Technology ", " The Spiritual in Art : Abstract Painting 1890-1985 " et " Parallel Visions: Modern Art and Outsider Art ".
