Acclaimed as the “father of skyscrapers,” the quintessentially American icon Frank Lloyd Wright (1867–1959) was an architect of aspiration. He believed in giving cultivated American life its fitting architectural equivalent and applied his idealism to structures across the continent, from suburban homes to churches, offices, skyscrapers, and the celebrated Guggenheim Museum.

Bruce Brooks Pfeiffer se convirtió en aprendiz de Frank Lloyd Wright en la Sociedad Taliesin en 1949. En 1957, asistió a la Escuela Nacional de Bellas Artes en París, de la que regresó en 1958 para continuar su aprendizaje con Wright hasta la muerte de éste en 1959. Ha permanecido en Taliesin hasta el presente. Es el director de los Archivos Frank Lloyd Wright, un vicepresidente de la Fundación Frank Lloyd Wright y el autor de numerosas publicaciones sobre la vida y la obra de Wright.

Peter Gössel dirige una agencia de diseño para museos y exposiciones. Con TASCHEN ha publicado monografías sobre Julius Shulman, R. M. Schindler, John Lautner y Richard Neutra, así como varios títulos en la serie Basic Architecture.
