Seine Kunst stellt politische Methoden und Ansprüche in Frage, er greift Themen auf wie territoriale Gewalt, Umweltverschmutzung, Besitzdenken oder das Richten über Leben und Tod. Im Jahr 2004 färbte er bei minus 23 Grad einen Eisberg vor Grönland, offiziell Teil des dänischen Herrschaftsbereichs mit innerer Autonomie, mit gut 3000 Liter Farbe rot und erklärte: 'Das ist mein Eisberg.' Die Aktion eröffnete eine scharfe Debatte über Grenzen der Kunst, Umweltbelastung und die scheinbare Zwecklosigkeit der Aktion. Im Juni 2007 folgte The Mont Rouge Project, für das der Künstler Bereiche des Mont Blanc rot färbte und zur Jahreswende 2007/08 wird der dritte Projektteil in der Atacamawüste in Chile realisiert.
