L'autore:

Gisbert L. Brunner, Jahrgang 1947, beschäftigt sich seit 1964 mit Armbanduhren, Pendeluhren und anderen Präzisionszeitmessern. Während der Quarzuhren-Krise in den 1970er-Jahren steigerte sich die Liebe zu den mechanischen Zeitmessern zusätzlich. Sein leidenschaftliches Sammelhobby und große Fachkenntnis führten ab den frühen 1980er-Jahren zu ersten Artikeln in GQ, ZEIT Magazin und Chronos und mehr als 20 Büchern über diese Materie.

Der Münchner Journalist und Autor Christian Pfeiffer-Belli ist Chefredakteur von Klassik Uhren. Gegründet 1978, erscheint die Zeitschrift alle zwei Monate als einziges deutschsprachiges Magazin, das sich nur mit alten Uhren beschäftigt. Pfeiffer-Belli besitzt zudem ein sehr großes Fotoarchiv, woraus The Watch Book I bebildert wurde.
