Cyber-Moderne, 1999; Faßler/Hentschläger/Wiener, Webfictions, 2003; Erdachte Welten, 2005; alle Springer-Verlag Wien New York. * Seit Sept. 2000 o.Univ.Prof. an der J. W. Goethe-Universität Frankfurt / Main am Institut für Kulturanthropologie und Europäische Ethnologie. Lehr und Forschung: Medienkulturen / Medienevolution / Wissensnetzwerke. * Er lehrte an der FU-Berlin, Uni-Kassel und Uni-Essen Kommunikationstheorie, war 1995-2002 Vorstand der Lehrkanzel für Kommunikationstheorie an der Universität für angewandte Kunst Wien, gründete 2001 das Center for Media, KnowledgeCulture, Imagination, and Development / CCID an der JW Goethe-Uni, lehrte 2003 / 2004 an der Universität Basel Mediensoziologie / Medienwissenschaft. * Zahlreiche Vorträge, Artikel, Aufsätze und Bücher dokumentieren seinen wissenschaftlichen Werdegang und seine wissenschaftliche Position.
