Als een van de jongste telgen in Japans lange en vruchtbare traditie van florale kunstenaars slaagt Naoki Sasaki er bijzonder goed in om zichzelf staande te houden. Op korte tijd liet hij zichzelf opmerken, won hij verschillende prestigieuze prijzen en groeide hij van beloftevolle naam uit tot een van de meest gerespecteerde meesters van zowel traditionele als hedendaagse Japanse bloemsierkunst. Hoewel Sasakis kunst moeilijk onder een noemer te vatten is, vormt het ritme van de seizoenen een steeds terugkerende inspiratiebron.
