Tales From a Vending Machine by Kochi-based author Anees Salim is certainly a delightful, breezy read... Written in simple English, it takes one into the daily life and activities of Hasina- an independent, ambitious girl, yet illogical and even crafty, at times; who works as a vending machine attendant at an airport departure lounge. The book is filled with her desperate attempts to get closer to her dreams,a secret love affair, her daydreams and not to forget her short diary entries. --Ammu Jan 26, 2014
