Explore the wacky and wonderful world of the airport with the hilarious Hasina Mansoor Hasina Mansoor is many things: devoted sister, blushing lover and ambitious young woman. Unfortunately, a stint at the airport lounge's tea vending machine does not seem to be getting her any closer to her dreams. To pass the time she daydreams, chats with airhostesses and takes part in mock anti-terrorist drills. Tales From a Vending Machine by Kochi-based author Anees Salim is certainly a delightful, breezy read... Written in simple English, it takes one into the daily life and activities of Hasina- an independent, ambitious girl, yet illogical and even crafty, at times; who works as a vending machine attendant at an airport departure lounge.The book is filled with her desperate attempts to get closer to her dreams,a secret love affair, her daydreams and not to forget her short diary entries. --Ammu Jan 26, 2014

L'autore
Anees Salim is a Kochi, India-based author.Born in Varkala, he dropped out of college at age 16, and currently works for an advertising agency.[2013 The Hindu Literary Prize for Vanity Bagh.[3][4][5] The prize was announced by novelist Jim grace in the valedictory function of the Hindu Lit for Life festival held in Chennai during 12 - 14 January 2014.
