Hydropower offers significant potential for carbon emissions reductions. The installed capacity of hydropower by the end of 2008 contributed 16% of worldwide electricity supply, and hydropower remains the largest source of renewable energy in the electricity sector. The contents make valuable contributions to academic researchers, engineers in the industry, and regulators of hydropower and civil engineering authorities.

Informazioni sull?autore

Shuren Wang is a full professor and a doctoral supervisor at school of civil engineering, Henan Polytechnic University, China. He is an adjunct professor at the University of New South Wales, Australia. He is a Distinguished Professor of Henan Province, a principal investigator at the Key Disciplines of Civil Engineering in Henan Province, a principal investigator of the Henan Province Geotechnical Engineering Disaster and Control Innovation Technology Institution, Director of the Henan Province International Joint Laboratory for Underground Space Development and Induced Disaster Prevention.
