Usinger (1912-1968) served on the faculty in the Department of Entomology at the University of California at Berkeley from 1946 until his untimely death in 1968. Also, on the front paste-down endpaper is the bookplate of William Otto Emerson, a prominent ornithologist. All the booklets are collected and bound in tan cloth hardcover.
