BOBBY SEALE WAS SPIRITED AWAY TO PRISON LEAVING 7 CO-CONSPIRATORS TO THEIR FATE. THE ARTICLE IS ENTITLED "CONSPIRACY CONTINUES." RALPH ABERNATHY REQUESTED TO BE A DEFENDENT'S WITNESS BUT JUDGE JULIUS JENNINGS HOFFMAN REFUSED TO LET HIM TESTIFY AT THE TRIAL. ON PAGE TWO, AN ARTICLE IS ENTITLED" 6000 ATTEND MIDNIGHT RALLY FOR CHICAGO 7 AT UCLA. THE RALLY WITH ONLY 4 HOURS NOTICE FEATURED ACTIVIST PERFORMER AND SINGER PHIL OCHS, MICHAEL TIGAR, AN ORIGINAL ATTORNEY FOR THE CONSPIRACY DEFENDENTS AND ROBERT SCHEER, FORMER EDITOR OF "RAMPARTS' MAGAZINE. PHOTOGRAPHS OF THE PERFORMERS AT THE UCLA RALLY ACCOMPANY THE ARTICLE. THE DEFENDENT CONSPIRATORS WERE UNABLE TO ATTEND THE RALLY DUE TO JUDGE HOFFMAN'S EDICT THAT THEY BE AVAILABLE WITHIN TWO HOURS OF THE JURY'S CONVENING TO PROVIDE A VERDICT ON THE TRIAL. ON PAGES FOUR AND FIVE IS A DIALOGUE OF ARGUMENTS BETWEEN THE DEFENDENTS, THEIR LAWYERS AND JUDGE JULIUS HOFFMAN ABOUT JUDGE HOFFMAN DENYING RALPH ABERNATHY'S REQUEST TO TESTIFY ON BEHALF OF THE DEFENDENTS. THE RESULTS OF THE JURY'S VERDICT IS IN AN ARTICLE ENTITLED "LEGAL LYNCHING OF CHICAGO SEVEN ACCOMPLISHED TRIAL ENDS IN CONVICTIONS, CONTEMPT CITATIONS." THE BLACK PANTHERS WERE CHARGED WITH CRIMES THAT PLACED THEM IN JAIL FOR 10 MONTHS BEFORE BEING BROUGHT TO TRIAL. SECTION TWO OF THE NEWSPAPER FEATURES AN INTERVIEW WITH JANIS JOPLIN. THERE ARE FILM REVIEWS ON COUNTERCULTURE MOVIES AND REPORTS ON AUDIO RECORDINGS OF POPULAR BANDS AT THE TIME.
