Riassunto:

A dying 18-year-old girl finds her walls of self-isolation crumbling after she opens her home, and her heart, to a yokai prince hiding from his murderous brother.

Sakura Takeshi is only 18 years old, but she'll never get to be 19; with every passing day, her body grows less capable of supporting her. For years she's kept her peers at bay, wanting to spare them the pain of her pending death, yet as the final months tick down, the loneliness and fear she's long denied is chipping away at her once firm resolve.

As the first son of the king of Throklana, Prince Kazuki thought he had a perfect life, until the night his beloved younger brother tries to murder him. During the struggle, Kazuki inadvertently escapes to the human world, landing in the backyard of the home that belonged to a childhood friend. It seemed like a perfect hiding place until his brother calms down, only his friend died years ago.

Having heard stories of him from her late guardian, Sakura agrees to let Kazuki stay with her in exchange for his help around the house. They know falling in love would be foolish, the only possible ending is one filled with heartache. But sometimes love doesn't listen to reason?

Set in Hakodate, Japan, Aisuru is a young adult fantasy romance that reflect's Anma's love for the story telling styles found in shojo manga and Japanese light novels, a fondness for magical realism, and a desire for more young adult stories that are just a bit different from the norm. In a modern world of computers, digital cameras, and smartphones, a boy can change into a crow at will and that handsome man walking down the street just might not be human at all.

Sinossi:

A dying 18-year-old girl finds her walls of self-isolation crumbling after she opens her home, and her heart, to a yokai prince hiding from his murderous brother.

For the last eight years, Sakura Takeshi has been counting down the time till her life ended. Though she survived the attack that left her an orphan, it?s always been borrowed time as her damaged body continued to break down.

She told herself she was ready, that she had come to terms with dying before she reached 19. Then she found Kazuki lying wounded in her garden. His arrival opens the door for her whole world to change, but is it too late for her to learn to live, or to love, when there are only months left in her life?

Set in Hakodate, Japan, Aisuru is a young adult fantasy romance that will appeal to readers who enjoy shojo manga and Japanese light novels, have a fondness for magical realism, and who would like more young adult stories that are just a bit different from the norm with female characters strong in heart, not just physically strong.
