Riassunto: Mr. Merritt has over eighteen years of progressive experience in Special Operations and Intelligence. His functional knowledge includes Joint Special Forces Operations, Counterintelligence, Counter-narcotics, SIGINT, and HUMINT. He has had Intelligence community assignments at DIA, CIA, DOE, NSA, ONI, and NRO.

During Mr. Merritt's active duty, he served with United States Naval Special Warfare as an intelligence analyst, providing current intelligence on geopolitics, threat, insurgency/counterinsurgency, terrorism/counter-terrorism, and counter-narcotics operations. As a member of this force, he supported JCS-sponsored missions worldwide and supported executing projects for the National Command Authority, real world and exercise.

Mr. Merritt's military awards include the Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Armed Forces Reserve Medal with "M" device & Bronze Hourglass, the National Defense Service Medal (2), Combat Action Ribbon, Navy & Marine Corps Achievement Medal, Good Conduct Medal (2), Navy Expeditionary Medal (2), Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal (2), Joint Service Commendation Medal, Joint Service Achievement Medal (2), Joint Meritorious Unit Awards (2), Navy & Marine Corps Overseas Service Ribbon, and the Navy Expert Pistol Medal.

Mr. Merritt is a member of the National Military Intelligence Association, Naval Intelligence Professionals, Marine Corps Intelligence Association, Military Intelligence Corps Association, Association of Former Intelligence Officers, American Society for Industrial Security, National Defense Preparedness Association, Operations Security Professionals Society, and Disaster Preparedness and Emergency Response Association. His academic credentials includes an A.S (Mathematics and Science) from SUNY Delhi, a B.A. (European History) from SUNY Oneonta, and an M.A. (Counseling and Human Development) from St. Lawrence University.
