Green boards, gilt spine titles. Corners sharp, most bindings strong, a few boards a little wobbly but all pages firmly attached. Some shelf wear and fading. Pages clean and unmarked. This is the "Harpers & Brothers" edition, though published by Collier. This means that the original H & B edition was reprinted by Collier from the same sheets. This Collier edition is called the Author's National Edition, and has a note in Mark Twain's handwriting stating "This is the authorized Uniform Edition of my books. Mark Twain." Quiet Companion has 11 of the 25 volume set, for sale individually or as a set. Discounted price for the set.
