Riassunto: After accidentally spending eleven pounds on a pint of beer in Norway, English supermarket worker/would-be adventurer Tom Burnett sets off on a remarkably pointless quest through Hungary, Serbia, Montenegro, Kosovo, Albania, Macedonia, Greece, Bulgaria, Turkey and Romania in search of a reasonably priced lager. On the way he encounters pissed up American technicians, mad Montenegrins, an incredibly boring Czech man and a Turkish woman he is pretty sure is eyeing him up. The idiot also manages to get lost in Macedonia at 3am, get chased by stray dogs in Kosovo and find himself in Belgrade on the same day as a large gathering of the Serbian far right. It would have been much easier just to walk to his local really?
L'autore: Tom Burnett is an English supermarket worker/would be adventurer whose main quest in life is finding cheap, good quality lager. This book takes him on his insane quest through the Balkans, though he has now visited 57 countries across the globe. His hobbies include getting his arse kicked at the local pub quiz and drunkenly claiming to be King of Mars
