Descrizione libro Contemporary Books, Chicago, 1984. Soft cover. Condizione libro: Near Fine. 1st Edition. First Edition (Contemporary Books = NAP). Rare signed copy ('To Kym, Happy Birthday! Max Weinberg'). Signed on the half-title page (see photo). This almost 33-year-old book is in really nice condition. The covers have only very minor wear. You can see them in the first three photographs. They pretty much tell the story. Nothing is hidden. The book is also square and tight and very solidly bound. And with the exception of Max Weinberg's autograph, no one has written their name or anything else anywhere in the book. Nor are there any markings or attachments. And I didn't see any creases or dogeared corners. Finally, the pages look terrific, they are very clean and very bright. In fact, I didn't see any soiling at all. 'In The Big Beat, Max Weinberg invites fourteen of rock's great drummers to step out from behind their drums and take the spotlight. Commenting on the musical traditions they inspired and the roles that those experiences have played in their own lives, these drummers offer distinct perspectives on the origins of rock music and its thirty years' growth'. There is a chapter on each of the drummers and some great photographs. The drummers are Johnny Bee, Hal Blaine, Dino Danelli, D. J. Fontana, Russ Kunkel, Ringo Starr, Charlie Watts, Dave Clark, Kenney Jones, Earl Palmer, 'Pretty' Purdie, Roger Hawkins, Jim Keltner, and Levon Helm. Codice libro della libreria 001086
