Riassunto: This is the story of my sister and I growing up in post war Birmingham. The story tells of our early lives in Balsall Heath, Birmingham, where we lived in a back to back house. How we moved to Northfield, and despite setbacks along the way, managed eventually to find excellent jobs at TASCOS in Stirchley, Birmingham. After which our lives followed different pathways; yet we still maintained our closeness as sisters.

Descrizione libro Createspace Independent Publishing Platform, United States, 2016. Paperback. Condizione libro: New. Language: English . Brand New Book ***** Print on Demand *****.My sister Pauline always encouraged me to write the family history.Unfortunately following a road accident in 1987 I lost many of my early memories. Pauline always promised she would write her memories down but tragically she died before she got round to it. I decided to write as much as I could remember as a tribute to her. This book is simply a miscellany of my own memories; it tells the story of our early lives in Balsall Heath, Birmingham, where we lived in a back-to-back house with our mom. Our father deserted Mom before I was born. She had a desperate struggle bringing us up during and after the war until she remarried. In no way is it meant to be a historical document. Perhaps, who knows the book would have been completely different if so many of my memories had not vanished following the car accident. If I have made any mistakes with my facts I apologise.
