About the Author: Rachel Garlinghouse is a mother of three children, two of whom are African American girls. Rachel is an author (Come Rain or Come Shine: A White Parent's Guide to Adopting and Parenting Black Children), adoption coach, and freelance writer. She's appeared on MSNBC, NPR, and Huffington Post Live, as well as in Essence magazine. She believes in Jesus and enjoys dance parties, baking, and reading good books to her littles. Rachel and her family reside in the St. Louis area.
