A proposito di questo venditore

Have you ever heard the saying that the way to make a million dollars, selling used books, is to start with two million dollars? Well, that sums it up, just about perfectly! Selling used books is definitely something you do because you love it, not because you need to make a living. Many, many moons ago, I used to have a used book store. Now, I do not. What I do have, is an eclectic collection, of books, art, music, video, and other ephemera, that has been 70 years, in the making. My wife and I subsist on the not-overly-generous pensions, provided to seniors, by the government, which is why I am now selling my own, personal property, not store stock. I put what, to the best of my knowledge, is a reasonable price, given the condition and value, of a book, on my listings. Even though I know I will be losing a good chunk of that, to the multitudinous, and not insignificant, fees, involved in selling, online, I do NOT account for it, by inflating the prices, of my books. This goes for shipping, as well. We live in a very small apartment, so there is room for only a very limited number of books. The rest are in storage, and are not immediately accessible. If you have a question about a book that is in storage, it may take a two or three days, for me to be able to give you an answer, as I do not drive or have a vehicle, and there is no public transportation, to the storage site. I appreciate your understanding and patience, in this. FYI, what I have listed, on Abebooks, is only about 1/10th of my collection. Please feel free to email me, and let me know what titles (editions), authors, or genres you want (need) or would like for me to let you know about, should I come across them, and I will do so.
