Riassunto: The Legamus Transitional Readers are innovative texts that form a bridge between the initial study of Latin via basal textbooks and the reading of authentic author texts. This series of texts has been developed by a special committee of high school and college teachers to facilitate this challenging transition. Caesar: A LEGAMUS Transitional Reader Teacher?s Guide assists teachers as they introduce their students to Caesar?s prose style through Latin selections from De Bello Gallico and De Bello Civili. The Teacher?s Guide is a must have resource that makes teaching Caesar more manageable for teachers. Features: ? Translations of each Latin passage ? Answers to grammar and syntax exercises ? Suggested points for analysis, interpretation, and discussion questions

L'autore: Rose Williams has taught Caesar for over thirty years in college and high school. She has authored over twenty books and maintains a popular website, She is coauthor of A Caesar Workbook (Bolchazy-Carducci, 2012). Williams holds a BA from Baylor University and an MA from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill and did postgraduate work in Latin and the humanities at the University of Dallas and the University of Texas at Arlington. On a Rockefeller Grant, Williams did research at the Bodleian Library of Oxford University and at the University of Pisa, Italy. Hans-Friedrich Mueller, PhD, is the William D. Williams Professor of Classics and the Classics Chair at Union College in New York. He received a 2007 APA Award for Excellence in the Teaching of Classics and two Florida State awards for excellence in teaching. Dr. Mueller has published Roman Religion in Valerius Maximus (Routledge, 2002) as well as numerous articles. Mueller?s high school teaching experience has enriched Caesar: A LEGAMUS Transitional Reader and his text Caesar: Selections from De Bello Gallico (Bolchazy-Carducci, 2012).
