Riassunto: Herbert J. Stern, nationally recognized trial lawyer and accomplished teacher of trial techniques, will show you how to win cases.
In Trying Cases to Win, Stern elaborates on the techniques he's made famous in his seminars and videos as he commits to print his methods and strategies for trying cases to win.
"He masterfully weaves these guiding principles into a new way of life for the trial lawyer. You would not want this book to get into the hands of your adversary." --Jeffrey D. Robertson, New York, NY
In this volume, Stern takes you through a variety of direct examination techniques that will keep you in control and in charge, driving home his points using transcripts from a broad variety of cases that bring his philosophy to life.
From the Publisher: Volume I discusses the theories and philosophies of litigating cases in direct and cross examination. Volume II implements these methods of conducting direct examination in order to assure a flawless presentation of the case. The author uses trial transcripts from some of the greatest trial lawyers of the past century to illustrate these techniques. Volume III shows the attorney how to argue the case through opposition witnesses, convert the information provided on direct examination to the benefit of the cross examiner's case and limit the direct testimony so it is not detrimental. Also incorporates actual case excerpts and explanations of the techniques. Volume IV defines the ``real'' purpose of summation, outlining the limitations and using actual case studies. Instructs attorneys to teach jurors how to argue their position for them against adversaries in the jury room.
