Riassunto:

Corners of Life is a literary love story which opens with the love between Jac and his son Allan who are both veterinarians and plan a life of working together in Hammond, Alabama. Their lives and plans are brought to a change when Julia, the wife and mother, abandons them for a lesbian affair. Both men begin to question their sexual identity. Jac’s thoughts are filled with doubts and questions, and Allan’s fears send him to the Marines to discover who he is. Allan lost his life in Iraq in 2009 when he was rescuing children from a burning school building. Two Marines brought the news to Jac and explained what a wonderful leader and spiritual guidance their Lt. Allan was to his men. He always set an example which made him a legend in the hearts of his men. Jac wandered around the country bearing his grief alone until he could get a grip on life and live as he thought Allan his beloved Leroy would have desired. He meets a widow, Amy, one weekend at the Guntersville Lake and they shared the shadows of their lives. After many failures to get Amy to move from her past into a future with him, he succeeded with a passionate episode which awoke a passion that had lain dormant. She was filled with remorse and shame until her children took charge of her life and sent her into the loving arms of Jac.
