The book provides students with a Christian perspective to ethical dilemmas and decision-making involving due process, the use of discretion in decision-making, loyalty, corruption, the use of force, punishment, and discrimination.

L'autore: Louis M. Harris, Jr., D.P.A., is a professor of Criminal Justice and Chair of the Criminal Justice and Legal Studies Department at Faulkner University in Montgomery, Alabama. After graduation from Alabama College (Montevallo) he served in the United States Navy as an officer assigned to aviation intelligence and SERE (Survival, Evasion, Resistance, and Escape) duties. After his military service he served as an FBI agent for 25 years with investigative duty assignments in Oregon, Washington and Alabama. He served as a relief supervisor in Seattle, Washington and senior resident agent on the Yakima Indian Reservation. He received a Master of Science degree in Criminal Justice from Troy State University and Doctor of Public Administration from The University of Alabama. Dr. Harris has written a number of articles on law enforcement and management related topics and co-authored four books: Alabama Peace Officers Guide to Law Enforcement, 2nd edition; Informant Development; First Line Supervision; and, Instructor Development. His community service includes Montgomery CrimeStoppers Board of Directors, East Montgomery Historical Board of Directors, police academy adjunct instructor, Cold Case Institute, and the Alabama Sentencing Commission. He is a ministry leader at his church and annually teaches an adult Bible study class.
