Riassunto: Told in a contemporary setting through a modern voice, "Dawn of the Transcendence" is the story of a youth--a young man who is distant and enigmatic, but at the same time familiar to each of us. His search for love, for happiness, for meaning, brings him from his small New Mexico town to another spiritual world.

D. Mikels uses a metaphysical and eclectic motor to navigate the roads of this journey. Along the way, the youth is exposed to the essence behind universal truth, human self-destructiveness, physical love, and emotional being. This is the youth's dawn of transcendence.

Through the pages of this book and the passageways of the youth's life, the reader experiences a similar dawn--akin to the spiritual, mental, physical, and sensual awakenings of the youth--in a clearly apocalyptic setting.

L'autore: D. Mikels, a journalism graduate from the University of Oklahoma, was inspired to write DAWN OF THE TRANSCENDENCE while sitting in a motel room in Clayton, New Mexico in July, 1992. Bill Clinton had just accepted his party's nomination for president at the Democratic National Convention. Moved to document America's continued cultural decline, Mikels used a legal pad from his briefcase to write the manuscript. The author owns and operates an insurance agency in Oklahoma. He has published a second novel, WALK-ON, and is currently at work on his third book.
